Since their earliest inception, I’ve always – ALWAYS – been a big supporter of online dating websites.  To me, it only made sense.  Why couldn’t you use the Internet to meet people?  You could use the Internet to talk to people.  You could use the Internet to shop.  You could use the Internet to get news.  And you could sue the Internet for just about anything else, so of course you should be able to use the Internet to pick up guys.  Plus, in this world of ours where girls are supposed to be modest, it’s a lot easier – and less slutty – to approach a guy digitally than in a bar.

What I didn’t expect when I started singing the praises of online dating 10 years ago was the niche dating site market.  Whether it’s dating for certain religious groups or dating for sexual preferences or even dating for plain old sex, the Internet really sorted out the dating scene and made it so users knew where to go to get what they wanted.

The kind of dating websites that seemed to take the longest to appear but are finally coming online are sugar daddy websites.  Yup… now even girls hoping to snag and maintain a millionaire sugar daddy relationship have a place where they can shop and score.  It’s quite a dramatic move from the earliest days of e-dating, but to be honest, I think it’s welcome.  Let’s be honest: if there are dating websites for people who like to dress up as animals and have sex, why shouldn’t you be able to find a mutually beneficial relationship online?
